Apr 6, 2010 - Sea Otter Classic

Sea Otter is upon us!!!  April 15-18, 2010.  If you haven't signed up to race yet, there's still time!  Also, don't forget to renew your USA Cycling license.  You have about a week left to get your bike "race ready"!  Come into FCC to get all your race day needs!!!  We have a huge selection of bikes, equipment, gear and accessories ready for you to take home that day.....We also have an amazing service staff ready to tune your bike!

What do I need to do to get my bike "race ready"?

-clean and lube drivetrain

-fine tune shifting

-true wheels

-new tires...they make all the difference!!!

-get practice and race day gels, chews, recovery drinks, and electrolyte drinks.

-get new race gear....(gloves, shorts, jersey, helmet, protective wear) Look good, feel good, race GOOD!!!

Mar 1, 2010 - "Awesomeland: Women of Dirt" premiers in SC!!

The Mountain Bikers of Santa Cruz (MBoSC) are hosting the Santa Cruz Mountain Bike Festival on Feb 27 & 28.  The festival will include the movie premier of  "Awesomeland: Women of Dirt", a HUGE raffle, group rides, a jump jam with the women of dirt, and a Q&A session with the women of dirt.  Come hang out with some of the top riders in the world......Lisa Myklak, Lisa Donahugh, Kathy Pruitt, and Emily Johnston will all be there!!! 

Soquel Demonstration Forest Group Ride: Feb 27

Movie Premier: Feb 28, 7pm.  The Rio Theatre.  $10. (Tickets available at Family Cycling Center)

Jump Jam with the ladies: Feb 28

All proceeds benefit the Soquel Demo Forest.

Jan 27, 2010 - USA Cycling National Mtn Bike Calendar Posted

USA Cycling has posted the National Mountain Bike Calendar for 2010.  Get your race calendar together for the year!  The Mountain Bike National Championships will be held in Grandby Colorado again this year from June 15-18.  California hosts a handful of the National Gravity Events  and National XC Events with the San Ynez Classic, Northstar-at-Tahoe and Fontana.
